Dan Baumann was arrested in Iran while attempting to establish contacts that could be developed for future Christian work. Held in Evian prison, he was abused during interrogation. Imprisoned in Iran, one of the International Adventures series, tells his story. I do not want to give away too much of the content as I feel the book deserves a full read.
I will pique your interest by saying Dan’s suffering was not in vain. His prayers for his captors touched the hearts of at least two guards who turned to Christ and he was witness to a third being delivered from demonic possession.
This is a very human account of doubts and fears, cold, hunger, sleeplessness, and boredom. I especially found fascinating the games Dan devised to pass time in prison and keep himself from going mad.
